WEEK 41 - Drama

PETRA

This week has been very intense and also tiring. But I have to say I learnt a lot. We did a lot of exercises, heard a lot of theory and also reflected on everything we did which was useful.

The most interesting thing we came to was the way how it’s possible to recreate a known story to tell a different meaning by using some drama tools. On Friday our groups presented drama pieces. We worked with famous fairy tales and made a drama of them.

Our group decided to work on The Lads who met the trolls in the woods. We focused a lot on the story itself. But at the end it was obvious that sometimes you don’t need the whole story to tell what you need / want to tell.

Some of the tools and exercises we used:



+ action warm-up (fitness and focus practice)
+ creating story together
+ still pictures as a storytelling
+ adding stuff to a story (objects in the labyrinth)
+ creating story based on random personal subjects
+ reflecting on everything we have done

Week 38 - Stop-motion Animation by Eva Pérez

Eva Pérez Abril STOP-MOTION ANIMATION   This week we have been working on the technique called "Stop-motion", which consists of making static objects appear to move by means of a series of successive still images. The movement is constructed by manipulating an object, with one's own hands, frame by frame.   On Thursday I had to create an animation with two pictures using bold black pens and two sheets of paper and doing two drawings with a small difference. Causing an action was important. I decided to do a Mickey Mouse running. Here is the result:  Animation with two pictures On Wednesday we did in groups an altercation (altercation of two everyday objects), an origami (an origami boat), a snowman (snowman turning back) and a superhero congratulation card.  Altercation We use a cup of coffee and some food for doing the animation. WEEK 37 - Art project as team building?

PETRA This week we spent making different kinds of puppets. It was interesting and also fun to try all those tasks and create something real. But I think the most important thing I have learnt is that you can use an art project as a task for a whole group of students, not only as an individual work.
