Week 1

 Music

During music we did a couple of different things. We talked and sang a couple of Norwegian songs, combined with exercises that we can use in the classroom.
Personally I'm not a big fan of those types of exercises do to a fear of singing (which can result in me just shutting down and sitting in my chair because for some reason my body will refuse anything else). Luckily I didn't have this fear of singing that badly this day. 

In between the exercises we had a couple of conversations about what music is, what it means to people, if every song has a story etc.

With our group we had an assignment to take a fairytale, create music and/or sounds for it and tell the story with these sounds. We went for the 3 little pigs story. We used a couple of different instruments for different events within the story. The pigs had a sound when they finished building there houses and when they were running to the next house. The wolf had a sound for running as well and for falling down the chimney. For the Wolf blowing air we blew very loudly ourselfs.

Lastly we also spend a lot of time using djembes. We did a couple of songs, combined some with singing (which I didn't do because I thought it was difficult enough to play the djembe) and we had to combine a couple of the songs together.
