Trip to Strandheim and circus
On monday this week we had an activity with the Play Outdoor class.
We had a lot of circus activities within 2 hours. I don't have much to add about this. both my fine and gross motor skills are bad and I sucked at everything the teacher wanted us to do. Since she wanted to do so many things I never had time to actually try to at least do one thing right. This left me pretty frustrated and even less motivated for the trip.
The first day of the trip was really cold. It was raining and 3 degrees.
We started with a couple of games. I didn't enjoy it that much since I was pretty annoyed with everything surrounding this trip.
After that we had to make a fairy tale circus. None in my group weren't really sure how to do that and none of us had actual skills to put into a circus. So we decided to just do a play and give it a fun twist.
As a twist we decided on 2 different things. First we decided to follow the Wolf instead of little red riding hood. But the Wolf pretended to be little red riding hood, so that the audience had a twist in the story.
The second twist was that we followed a news reporter and a documentary maker while they took the audience on a trip through the fairytale.
This was pretty fun to do, but it wasn't the assignment since it lacked circus elements. But all and all we were happy with what we did and we had fun.
The rest of the first day wasn't that interesting. Cooking with a group was fun and I had a lot of fun with Pia singing a Dutch childrens song while working on the soup (this song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=65MpTMtZhKM)
The second day we played a couple of children games. It was fun, but I can't really say I learned much from it. The topics we talked about I already had in classes back in The Netherlands during my Kindergarten half year.
On friday we had Myths. We had to make a presentation about local myths from our country. I didn't know any of the myths that were talked about, so that was pretty cool. Really fun to learn about different myths from different countries. This inspired me to learn about more myths in the future after I'm finished with school
